Question by : gettin a puppy, what size dog crate should i get?
i am gettin a puppy in about 2 weeks, i want to crate train him but i dont kno what size and dimension of a crate i should get… im pretty sure i want to go with the Midwest Life stges crate so that way i have a divider and can get one that will work when hes older also…. anyways, does anyone have around a close deminsion that would be good? your help would be greatly appreciated!
i apologize for not puttin the breed to give you an idea… it is a american pit bull puppy… his parents are average size for that breed.. im just unsre of what size to get because some sites havent been completely clear on what size of crate to get, some say the bigger the better, some say just enough to stand up, lay down, and turn around…

As you haven’t given any sort of description of the puppy, suggesting a size is rather impossible.

99.9% of the time the box will tell you what the dimensions are and what size dog it’s best for. You dog should only have enough room to stand up, turn around, and lay down. Most pet stores will have no problem letting you set up the crate and see if your dog fits in it before purchasing it.

A divider is a great bonus, as it will save you the trouble of needing to buy a bigger crate once the puppy grows out of it (they’re expensive!).
