The cutest thing in Chicago

Walking along the streets of Chicago one day we spotted this at the corner of an intersection. From afar, we wondered what it was, that had some people’s attention. As we walked closer, we soon realized that it was a puppet of a dog and cat happily playing amongst themselves, trying their best to hold the audience’s attention with random movements.
I have to say though, he did a really good job at keeping our attention. His very endearing animations made the puppets so loveable that one couldn’t help just stand their and laugh and smile at them.
As people approached the puppetbike, the cat and dog couple would motion them to come closer, and then the puppets would dance with each other in joy.
After a clap from the audience, they did their bows, and started anew once again. Seeing me with my camera, they were more than happy to pose for me as well. When someone put money down the boxed contraption, the dog and cat would both look at each other in excitement, then look down at the money, and again dance together with joy.
We wondered where the little hole or camera was, that the puppeteer could see from.
Later that day, we saw another bike with a different puppet at another intersection and realized this wasn’t the work of just one man.
It has to be one of the simplest yet most entertaining street performers I’ve seen in recent memory. Why doesn’t someone start one here in Toronto?
